The CeyD’s main products are:
- International promotion of the economy
(to attract investors, companies, organisations and events
to the city) which involves operating on two fronts:
- Developing City Marketing initiatives
to promote Valencia overseas and among the main players
making decisions on international investment and the locating
of large companies. The initial objectives
of City Marketing are:
- To ensure Valencia figures in the leading surveys
on the top cities to invest in.
- To create a network of national and international
financial journalists to publicise Valencia’s
progress in the media.
- To link up with recognised and influential figures
in the world of international investment.
- To set up a joint marketing plan for Valencia
with the main economic actors based in the city.
- To consolidate Valencia-based companies offering
advanced services and promote the city as a centre
of leading-edge financial services.
- To make Valencia a model for urban development
at an international level through its leadership of city
networks and associations.
- To promote training in the urban environment sector
with a view to identifying and supporting projects enhancing
regional factors that impact positively on the competitiveness
of companies, business clusters and networks of sector companies.
- The creation of international urban partnerships.
The objective is to increase Valencia’s
profile in the major cities of Latin America and the EU
and to build up links with the main networks and
associations most closely identified with the strategy for
Valencia.
- Participation and generating citizenship.
The intention is to nurture the city’s potential for
participation by promoting the central role citizens can
play in the economic development and human progress of the
city.
- The design and experimental implementation of
innovative projects possessing strategic management
characteristics. This action could be overseen, for example,
by the Agency for the Promotion of the Knowledge-Driven
Economy.
