1.  What is the Archive of Strategic Research?

The Archive of Strategic Research is a novel project jointly boosted by the University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Strategy & Development Centre of Valencia (CEyD) promoted by the Valencian Town Hall.

This project expects to optimize and orientate the research potential of the Valencian universities toward strategies and the development of the city of Valencia and its metropolitan area.

From the CEyD, numerous subjects of interest for in-depth study have been detected:

  •         Related subjects to the strategic challenges of Valencia.  Some examples:
  •        Valencia, Logistic Centre of the Mediterranean.
  •        Valencia, advanced in the Economy of Knowledge.
  •        The Citizen Management of Time in Valencia.
  •        Valencia, promoting city of innovation.
  •        Valencia, integrating and participating city.
  •        Quality and sustainable metropolitan mobility in Valencia.
  •         Important Subjects for analysis for Valencia, that allow for in-depth knowledge of the city.  Some examples:
  •        The immigration phenomenon
  •        The environment
  •        Social exclusion
  •        Sports practice
  •        The educational system
  •        Economic and social tendencies
  •        Good practices of other cities
  •        Urban Tourism

In this sense, the bond between the university students in research fields in areas such as sociology, medicine, architecture, teaching, economics, urbanism, geography or history acquire great relevance due to the possibility of generating synergies and orientating some studies toward the needs of the city.

Hence, it is a case of connecting the object of the doctoral theses, third cycle investigation works or end of degree projects with subjects of strategic interest for the city of Valencia.
