CEyD aims to instil an entrepreneurial spirit in Valencia. To
achieve this the city’s integrated and joint strategy
must be worked on and reprogrammed on a permanent basis and
new projects identified to continue moving forward. With this
objective in mind an innovative future-oriented tool promoting
local empowerment has been created: the Foresight Groups.
Objective: to devise a joint strategy for
the city.
Aim: To instil a culture of anticipation
in the city and ensure continuity in terms of human progress.
To promote and bolster a culture of anticipation among the
city’s main actors and citizenship in general.
Composition: The Groups comprise the city’s
main actors. Representatives from the Valencia’s leading
social, economic and political institutions.
6 Foresight Groups: A Foresight Group has
been set up for each strategic line or axis proposed for the
New Strategy.

+ Valencia: An Advanced City in the Knowledge-Driven Economy
+ Valencia: An Education-Oriented City in the Vanguard of
European Culture
+ Valencia: A City Fostering the Mutual Autonomy of All Its
People
+ Valencia: A City of Urban, Integrated, Diverse, Communal
and Sustainable Development.
Valencia: A Reference Point for New Urban Governance
Functions: To schedule events encouraging
creative thought and public debate as a means of defining
the new strategy. To propose issues and projects of strategic
interest to the city so they can be analysed and expanded
on.
